Why coffee? Because Katie said so. Literally. A while back, we had discussed bringing me back as a guest artist, and while excited, I was at a loss for ideas.
'Katie', I said, 'What would your ideal art collection be? What sort of art would you like to see on your walls?'.
Katie just looked at me, shocked, as though I didn't know the answer:
'Coffee. What else?'
With that, The Coffee Project was born. The project is art created with, inspired by, and features that elusive beverage, Coffee. I am pleased to announce that this will likely be the first of many collections. Like Monet and his water lilies, thus the coffee project will be for me. [If you don't know, Monet spent a great deal of time in his later years painting the lilies in his pond.] Along with this coffee mix-media showing you will also view my Trees collection and the Dylan portraits.
Jessica Fuchs and her famous son, Dylan, have been regulars at Espresso Love for quite a few years, lovingly considering it her home away from home- when she can get away. She is currently working out of a small home studio in East Troy, living with her husband, two sons and various animals. Dabbling in sculpture and continuing to self-educate as an artist are high among this years goals. Available for commissions of any size.
Jessica's Coffee art will be posted soon.
